Eko Cykl Organizacja Odzysku Opakowań Inc. was set up in 2002 as one of the first packaging recovery companies on Polish market. Legal basis for establishing the company was Polish legislation based on requirements of the European Parliament and European Council Directives no 94/62/WE from 20th of December 1994 about packaging and packaging waste.
The founders of the company are four physical persons who decided to establish packaging recovery company after realizing an issue of increasing amount of waste. Packaging which are not recovered or recycled devastate the natural environment. The founders decided to set up a company that would ensure appropriate standard of recovery and recycling to the entrepreneurs interested in it and engage them into ecological education. This is how the Eko Cykl Organizacja Odzysku Opakowań Inc. came into being.
WHAT DO WE DO?
The organization takes over the packaging waste recovery and recycling duty of entrepreneurs who place on Polish market products in packaging.
The company enables entrepreneurs to fulfill the statutory duty in alternative way, without paying the product fee. The product fee is kind of punishment for the entrepreneur and cooperation with our company enables avoiding it.
Our organization fulfills taken over duty by cooperation with selective waste collection, recovery and recycling of packaging waste companies.
