National Chamber of Waste Management (KIGO) has joined the group of Patronage of the 7th International Reverse Logistics – Packaging.
National Chamber of Waste Management (KIGO) is an economical self-government organization. The Chamber is of an open character and under conditions described in the charter, entities connected with waste management, in particular those operating in the local government structure, can join it.
National Chamber of Waste Management (KIGO) is involved in activities aiming at implementing in Poland legal solutions, which would contribute to build stable waste management system in our country with the special attention paid to the potential of local companies. As organization mostly gathering municipal companies the Chamber constantly cooperates with the Association of Polish Cities, Association of Polish Counties, Association of Polish Village Communes and Union of Polish Metropolises. The Chamber unites around 130 Polish enterprises operating in the waste management sector, whose members are influential shareholders of Polish waste management market.
The Chamber’s key objective is to create legal framework enabling Poland to achieve ecological results on the European level. In order to do so the Chamber built a cooperation with similar organizations in Germany, Austria, Sweden and for 2 years is full member of Municipal Waste Europe – organization representing interests of self-government companies in Parliament and European Commission, uniting Chambers of waste management sector from 19 European countries.
Main aim of the Chamber is to represent economic interests of its Members before government and local administration. The Chamber is also opinion-giving body in the legislative process.
